There are two Competitors in the field, one is undisputed old school marketing or Traditional Marketing and the other is undefeated Digital marketing.
We witness traditional marketing in our day to day life like we keep seeing big hoardings, TV advertisements, Newspaper ads, Ads in Magazines, radio, etc..
Digital Marketing care in to practice since 90’s and became instantly popular. It completely took over the attention of all the marketing professionals and companies in no time. This is performed through Social Media Marketing like Facebook, Linkedin, Instagram), Email marketing, Google ads, etc.
But we marketing professional are always in dilemma of which practice we should be following to have better results. To conclude on this lets see the good and bad of both the practices.

As the old school Marketing involves in advertising through Newspapers, Radio ads, Television commercials, Printing of Banners, Hoardings, etc. But these mediums are extremely expensive.
These practices of marketing is much affordable by big companies or big budget products.
On the other hand Digital Marketing is the cheapest form of marketing. Most of the digital Marketing platforms are free of cost an much affordable as it can be to the low budget and medium budgeted products/services.
We have all the options in these platforms to limit our marketing to our affordable budget with good results.
Hence Digital Marketing wins in the affordability and the accelerated results.
How are the Results?:
Old School Marketing is like chasing the target without knowing the results. It will surely Reach the right audience but takes a lot of time. It’s like shooting in the dark. We will not know when and how many relevant audience it is going to reach.
Also there is no means of getting the report of the exact analysis of this practice of advertising.
Digital Marketing is a winner here as we exactly know whom we are targeting. We have all the means and possibilities of reaching the exact relevant audience to sell our products.

There is one small and important criteria in practising Digital marketing is INTERNET!!.
Digital Marketing needs internet for all the activities we perform in this practice. But where as about 60% of the worldwide population are exposed to Internet and the other 40% has still Ben away from the internet. So the old school marketing still have chance of succeeding in their practice in certain industries.

Even though digital Marketing is helping professional to reach anybody in any part of the world and has given the opportunity to communicate with people remotely, there is still need of face to face interaction with our customers. Meeting the customers and giving them the feel of your product and allow them to trust your legitimacy is one wonder work.
Old school marketing beats digital marketing in this aspect.
But still digital marketing long with giving chance to customers to meet might do much more wonders as well.
